Powder Coating
The best quality you can get!
Powder coating has emerged as a widely favored aftermarket finishing solution for wheels and components due to its notable attributes: a smooth, uniform, and robust finish. Its appeal is further enhanced by the extensive array of customizable colors, making it a highly attractive and creative choice for customization.
Our top-tier powder coating process initiates with a meticulous stripping of the wheel or metal part down to its bare aluminum foundation. Subsequently, we undertake a comprehensive manual polishing procedure to eliminate scratches, nicks, dings, and curb rash from the wheel's face and windows. The multi-stage prepping process ensures a refined surface.
Once the wheel is prepared, it undergoes sandblasting followed by a thorough cleaning to eradicate any residual polishing or metal dust and other contaminants that may compromise the powder coating finish. Prior to the actual powder coating, meticulous hand masking is employed to cover the back pad of the wheel, preventing any build-up that could potentially impact the wheel's seamless mounting on your vehicle.
For smaller parts, we extend our attention to masking threaded areas and any specified regions you wish to remain free of powder coating. Specialized wheel and parts mounting fixtures are then utilized to suspend the wheel or part, ensuring a uniform powder coating application across the entire surface.
In-house, state-of-the-art technology for unsurpassed quality control.
Our powder coating process consists of multiple stages with our state-of-the-art equipment, including a fully enclosed powder coating booth to minimize the risk of any airborne contaminants landing on the wheel or part’s surface, which is more likely to occur with the traditional open-faced, 3-sided powder coating booth.
We use completely separate, ultramodern finishing spray guns and powder coat hoppers. We also use multiple hoppers which are only used for a single color at any given time. This allows us to switch from one color to the next quickly and efficiently.
We have a separately dedicated hopper and finishing spray gun used exclusively for our clear coat powder. This, along with using multiple hoppers, minimizes the risk of cross contamination by providing the powders with their own fully sealed and contained environment that isn’t susceptible to outside contaminants, versus powder coating straight out of the box of powder.
The result is a more consistent, clean and smooth finish by controlling the process and the environment the powder coating is taking place.
